Father of 2-year-old and 4 fur babies has it after entitled neighbor throws bait in his backyard, throws mint seeds in his ‘pristine’ lawn and gets him to move: ‘I get to live peacefully again.’

One father had enough of his entitled neighbor and took matters into his own hands by using… nature! It all started when his neighbors started constantly complaining about his dogs barking, his kids playing, and his cats roaming. Basically, everything wrong was the fault of this guy's family. However, this guy constantly was checking in on his pets and children and never witnessed the complaints his neighbor was going on about, his wife also never witnessed these actions. The family tried to just ignore the neighbors, until one day they found poisoned bait thrown into their backyard. This is the kind of thing you put when you're trying to catch vermin on your property. 

 

This made the father extremely angry because he has a child and innocent animals to care for and this could've harmed them if he hadn't caught it first. So he reported him to the authorities but not much could be done. That pushed him to make his own move, a simple one, but it worked wonders. He tossed over a bunch of mint plant seeds. Though native to many places in North America, it is still very invasive and quickly takes over a yard. Soon after, he saw his neighbor put up a "for sale" sigh.

  • But most neighbors have dogs so could have been any of them and I work rotating rosters and my partner works a morning shift so almost always someone is home for a good part of the day.

  • Can't disprove this one except I've seen my cats crop only on dirt or their litter box... dude has golf course quality lawn in his front yard while his dogs deal with dirt mud and scrap metal in the back.

  • 2 days later another bait... no way for it to get there except from his side of the fence or a bird dropping it. Possible but unlikely 2 times in 3 days.

  • We call the police, show them, they said it's likely the neighbors but no proof. So they will warn them. I am steaming by this point.

  • Also I got home with my then 2 year old one afternoon and he was upset so crying loudly as I walked from the car passed his window to go through the back gate and he yells "for fu**s sake shut that f**king kid up."

  • He was lucky my partner was carrying the kiddo. We aren't super loud. I checked with all the neighbors on that. I checked in if the dogs were barking the few times they are left home alone, nope no problems.

  • Now, this family is excited to finally be able to live in peace. They get along well with all of their other neighbors and just hope with all of their heart that whoever buys the house is more reasonable then their entitled ex-neighbor.
